The limited deposit management is complex to set up and involves different constraints. In the case of a first implementation of Cashless we do not recommend it.
For simple management of deposits simply use the sale and refund types. The article on deposit is configured as a sale type at €1, for example, and the return item is set to a refund type of €1.
The return article will re-credit the €1 of the deposit when "buying it"
Caution
The constraints of this feature are:
- Deposit refunds are not limited
Deposited items allow you to handle cups or cashless tags on deposit. Unlike sales and refund types, deposits are accounted to prevent a deposit refund greater than the amount purchased.
If a Cashless tag buys 3 ecocup at 1€ and 1 pitcher at 5€ on deposit, it can only be refunded 8€. Either 8 ecocups or 3 ecocup and a pitcher, but not 4 ecocups and a pitcher.
For the configuration you just have to create an article in type deposit and its return article in return for deposit.
Caution
The constraints of this mode are:
- A purchased deposit can only be refunded on the same Cashless tag
- A tag will not be able to be refunded 1€ more than the purchased amount
